You are bidding on a piece of hockey history. This puck was dropped by Gordie Howe's wife Colleen during a ceremonial faceoff on October 3, 1997 when Gordie played one game for the Detroit Vipers of the IHL. In front of a capacity crowd at The Palace, Gordie at the age of 69 played one shift to officially become the only player to ever play a professional game in six different decades. This also concluded Mr. Hockey's professional career which included an astonishing 2,358 points across the NHL and WHA. It was on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame from 2019-22.
Comes with Certificate of Authenticity from Gordie Howe's sons Mark and Marty Howe.
